Oklahoma Massage Therapist Licensing and Certification Requirements

Oklahoma Massage Therapy Board - New License Requirements
The Oklahoma Massage Coalition is requesting that in order to obtain a license to practice massage in the State of Oklahoma, that the legislature enforce a minimum of 500 hours in a state approved course curriculum and a passing certificate from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
Oklahoma City is the only municipality in the Oklahoma City-County Department's (OCCHD) jurisdiction that requires a license for massage establishments and for individuals to perform massage within OKC city limits. See additional resources below for further information.
